Refrigeration
Refrigeration is to remove heat from one area and expell this heat in another.
By doing this the temperature of the area will to go down.
So to refrigerate or cool anything all we have to do is remove heat.
In another words refrigeration is to move heat from one place to another.
Refrigerants
Refrigerantes area special mixtures of gases, liquids or liquified gases with specil formulation to help us in the purpose of moving heat from one place to another and allows to manage them with known and available equipment. Refrigerant are the medium we use to move heat.
Thermodinamics
Science that studies heat and some of the fundamentals of this science are important for the understanding of refrigertion.
Heat
We will call heat to the energy contained in a medium (liquid, gas, or solid)
to which medium we will remove heat if we wanto to cool it, or add heat if we are tryng to warm it up.
Temperature
A measure of a part of the energy (heat) contained in a medium, Measured in degrees (Farenheit or Centigrade).
How to move heat
If we submerge a spoon in cold water, the spoon losses heat and cools down. If we sumerge the spoon in hot coffe, the spoon will gain heat and warm up.
Returning to themodinamic, this one explains: that we can not creat or destroy energy, but with can transform it. This means that enrgy must have a balance if a part of gains energy (heat) something else must loose that energy.
In the case of the spoon in cold water, the spoon got colder, but the water must become warmer.
In the other case if the spoon got warmer in the coffee the coffee must become colder. This is called the first law of the thermodinamics.
